Having Taylor by my side as both my doula and birth photographer made the experience even more special than I could have imagined... During the most intense moments of labor, she reminded me to breathe, encouraged me when I doubted myself, and helped me trust the strength God designed my body to have. These photos are some of our most treasured possessions and will forever remind us of one of the most beautiful days of our lives.
Watching our close friend use her gifts to serve our family in such a profound way was an incredible blessing. Taylor poured her heart into every part of our birth experience, and we are forever grateful. Frequently Asked Questions
- What if my kids don't cooperate? Perfect. They don't have to. I expect movement, moods, snacks, breaks, and occasional chaos. I'll work with who your children actually are rather than expecting them to perform for the camera.
- Do you tell us how to pose? I'll guide you enough that you never feel lost, but I'm much more interested in connection than perfect posing. Think prompts, movement, closeness, and gentle direction rather than "stand here and smile."
- What should we wear? You'll receive guidance before your session. Generally, I recommend soft, comfortable pieces that feel like you and photograph naturally together rather than perfectly matching outfits.
- Can we do our session at home? Absolutely! Home sessions are sone of my favorites because your space is already part of the story.
- What if my house isn't photo-ready? It definitely does not need to be! We can use the rooms with the best light and move little things as needed. Your house does not need to look like Pinterest.
- When will we receive our photos? My goal is to deliver your full gallery within 2-6 weeks. Turnaround time can vary depending on the season, the type of session, and well...life. Sometimes your gallery may arrive sooner, and occasionally I may need a little extra time. I'd rather give your images the care they deserve than rush through something this meaningful.
- Can photography be added to doula care? Absolutely. Birth photography and early-motherhood storytelling can be added to select doula offerings. We'll talk beforehand about what you want documented and how photography can fit into your care without taking away from the support you need in the moment.
