You were never meant to carry all of this alone.

your village starts here

Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum can hold excitement, uncertainty, intensity, and tenderness - sometimes all at once. You deserve someone beside you who listens closely, protects your space, and helps you feel informed without taking away your voice.

My role is not to direct your experience or replace your partner.
It is to help you feel grounded, supported, and deeply cared for - through labor, through the transition, and into those first tender days of getting to know your baby.

CARE, IN REAL LIFE

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE. HEART-LED CARE.

Familiar with the room. Focused entirely on you.

As a labor and delivery nurse, I understand the language, pace, and unpredictability of the birth space. As your doula, my role is different - I'm there to support you, not manage your care.

That means helping you understand what's happening, making space for your questions, supporting your partner, and helping you stay connected to your own voice throughout the experience.

Clinical knowledge can help make the room feel less intimidating.
Connection is what makes the care feel personal.

***Disclaimer: Doula support is non-medical and works alongside - not in place of - your clinical care team.

Sarah:
When I first contacted Taylor about birth photography, I knew my heart wanted it, but I wasn’t sure my self-esteem could handle being seen so vulnerably. Taylor immediately made me feel safe, understood, and empowered. She listened to every fear without judgment and reassured me in a way that felt so genuine. Even before meeting in person, I trusted her completely.During labor, Taylor brought such a calm and comforting presence. Her experience as a labor & delivery nurse and doula made an incredible difference — she knew exactly how to support, encourage, and guide us while capturing the most meaningful moments so naturally. The photos of our daughter’s birth are something we will treasure forever. They tell our story with so much emotion, love, and strength. Seeing myself through Taylor’s lens made me feel powerful, beautiful, and brave. I will forever be grateful she encouraged me to say yes to this experience.

Brynne:
If you have the opportunity to photograph one of the most memorable moments of your life, you absolutely should. Before meeting Taylor, I didn’t fully understand what birth photography or doula support would even look like. But from our first conversation, it was obvious she is an incredible listener, calming presence, and someone who genuinely cares about creating an unforgettable experience. One of our biggest concerns was comfort during such a vulnerable moment, and Taylor was so intentional about respecting that. Somehow she captured so many beautiful moments without ever feeling intrusive. Her labor & delivery experience made such a difference. She knew exactly what was happening, comforted us during moments of uncertainty, and brought such a peaceful energy into the room. The combination of her talent, knowledge, and passion is truly special. Looking back now, it honestly feels like pure magic that everyone was exactly where they were meant to be in that room that day.

Sarah & Brynne

There are some people who come into your life as friends, and then show up for you in the most meaningful ways when you need them most... That is exactly who Taylor was for us during the birth of our second baby boy.

Having Taylor by my side as both my doula and birth photographer made the experience even more special than I could have imagined... She knew my heart and my desire for a natural, unmedicated birth, and she supported me with so much love, calmness, and confidence. During the most intense moments of labor, she reminded me to breathe, encouraged me when I doubted myself, and helped me trust the strength God designed my body to have. Her steady presence made me feel safe, empowered, and deeply cared for.

She was not only an incredible source of support for me, but also for my husband. She helped him feel confident and involved by teaching him practical ways to support me during labor, especially during the most intense contractions. From showing him how to apply counter pressure to guiding him in how to encourage and comfort me, she equipped him with the tools he needed to be an active and supportive partner throughout the birth. Having someone we know and love walk alongside both of us through such a raw and sacred experience brought a level of comfort and reassurance that words can hardly describe.

And then there are the photographs!!! Somehow, while fully present and supporting us, she captured the most powerful and intimate moments of our baby's birth. Every image tells the story of strength, perseverance, love, and the overwhelming joy of finally holding our little one in our arms. These photos are some of our most treasured possessions and will forever remind us of one of the most beautiful days of our lives.

Watching our close friend use her gifts to serve our family in such a profound way was an incredible blessing. Taylor poured her heart into every part of our birth experience, and we are forever grateful. If you are hoping for a successful birth and want someone who will support you with genuine love, encouragement, and exceptional talent, I cannot recommend her enough!!! We are expecting baby #3 and looking forward to working with Taylor again!

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What is the difference between a doula and my nurse or provider?  Your nurse and provider are responsible for your medical care. As your doula, my role is non-medical and completely centered around your emotional, physical, and informational support. I'm there to help you understand what's happening, work through your options, stay grounded, and feel supported throughout the experience.
  2. Do you replace my partner during labor?  Absolutely not. I want your partner involved in whatever way feels natural to both of you. I can help them know how to support you, offer ideas when they're unsure of what to do, and step in when either of you needs a break. The goal is to support your relationship - not take their place.
  3. Can I hire you if I'm planning an epidural or induction?  YES! Doula support isn't only for unmedicated birth. Inductions, epidurals, planned interventions, spontaneous labor, you name it - you still deserve continuous support, information, comfort, and someone focused on how you are experiencing your birth.
  4. What if I end up needing a cesarean birth? Your support doesn't disappear because the plan changes. Depending on your hospital's policies and circumstances, I can help you prepare beforehand, stay grounded as decisions are made, support your partner, and be there during the transition into postpartum. However your baby arrives, your experience still matters.
  5. When do you join me in labor? We'll stay in communication as labor begins and decide together when having me physically with you would be most helpful. There isn't one magical cervical dilation or contraction pattern that determines when you "qualify" for support - we'll look at the whole picture and what you need.
  6. What does postpartum doula support actually look like? It depends on the day. Sometimes it looks like newborn care while you shower or sleep. Sometimes it's feeding support within my scope, washing bottles or pump parts, starting baby laundry, making you something to eat, answering newborn questions, or simply sitting beside you while you process how much life just changed. The goal is practical care that makes your days feel a little more manageable.
  7. Can photography be added to doula care? Absolutely. Birth photography and early-motherhood storytelling can be added to select doula offerings. We'll talk beforehand about what you want documented and how photography can fit into your care without taking away from the support you need in the moment.
  8. Do you provide medical or lactation care? Doula care is non-medical and works alongside your clinical team rather than replacing them. I can provide education, general feeding support within my training and scope, and help you identify when additional support may be helpful. For concerns requiring medical assessment or specialized lactation care, I'll encourage you to connect with the appropriate provider or lactation professional.
  9. When should I book?  You can reach out whenever you're ready. Many families choose their doula during pregnancy so we have plenty of time to get to know one another and prepare together, but availability is ultimately what determines whether I can take your birth. Earlier is usually better - especially for birth support.
